The common versions are aluminum anodized. Your original post asks for platinum 16x8. I have to say that I've never seen or even heard of a factory platinum version in that size. One of the gurus might look at PET to see if it was an option '87-91, and if any cars actually shipped with them.

The aluminum adodized wheels have a platinum sheen to them, which is what I'm referring to...as apposed to the polished versions (which if factory are also aluminum and also anodized).
To be clear, I am looking for stock 8" gullideckels that are NOT polished / chrome, but have the original OEM satin type finish.

That pic is underexposed in the bright sunlight, hard to tell if those are platinum or silver.
If I am reading it all correctly, PET says there are 9 different manhole cover /gullideckel wheels:
1980-82:
928 362 115 01 light alloy forged, 7x16
1982 Jubillee edition (M406)
928 361 021 08 light alloy wheel, lacquered
(Not clear to me if there's anything different between 80-82 and 83-88 versions of 115 01, probably just an inconsistency between PET versions)
1983- 88
928 362 115 01 - platinum anodized 7x16 ET 65 gullideckel
928 362 115 00- silver anodized 7x16 ET 65 gullideckel
1987-88
928 362 117 01 - platinum anodized 8x16 ET52.3 gullideckel
928 362 117 00 - silver anodized 8x16 ET52.3 gullideckel
1989-1991
928 362 155 00 - silver anodized 7x16 ET65 gullideckel with RDK
928 362 157 00 - silver anodized 8x16 ET52.3 gullideckel with RDK
928 362 155 01 - platinum anodized 7x16 ET65 gullideckel with RDK
928 362 157 01 - platinum anodized 8x16 ET52.3 gullideckel with RDK
So you're looking for a pair of 928 362 117 01, still available new from Porsche, $2800 for a pair, fwiw.

What are the goldish ones that came on the comp package in 81-82?
I have a set of those somewhere.

Maybe those are the 115 01's from 80-82, and they just didn't explicitly say 'platinum' in PET.
Before looking at this I thought platinum anodized was an 85-86 only thing, and that's mostly due to that pic of Marianne Gravatte that happens to have a 928 in it.
