Default Mysteries of the PET - Window Guide Tube

Hey all,
I have tried to become a student of the PET, and I refer it to *every* job that I do on my 928.

One of my current jobs is to clean up the entire window assembly, and am in the process of remounting the window to the guide tube.

Best I can tell, the PET doesn't call out what bolts are used to mount the bottom support to the window (Part 8 in the PET shot below). I've gone through the HW that I originally removed, and I believe I've found the pieces necessary to put it back together (shown in the second picture), but I'm curious...

Why doesn't the PET list this? Oversight in the PET? I'm missing something in the PET? Something else?

Obviously, this isn't a major problem. Just curious more than anything else.

In this instance I think that the hardware for both the lower and upper mounts are the same so you'd just need some more of 10, 11 and 12 in that diagram.

I've notice the same as you in the PET pdfs that I have. It's very frustrating that some of the fixings aren't listed when, after 30 years and many previous owners, you find yourself with a random array of screws, bolts etc holding stuff together.

You are correct. That's why PET lists quantity 4. M6x22mm hex-heads, with washer and locking washer.

Nope. Just looked closer. Should be quantity 8, not 4.

But, those bolts are all the same; just did that job a couple of weeks ago.

...I remember back in the day when phones had cameras built in.
To this day, I take tons of pics prior to disassembly.

Exactly! Part of what was throwing me off was that one of the nuts that are supposed to be welded to the window mounting plate had broken away, so it looked like there was one additional piece that was missing.

But...all good. Thanks for the confirmation, guys.

I typically do as well. In this case, I didn't because I had brand new bolts & washers for everything with the PET. Figured it would be cut & dry because of that. Obviously not, lesson learned.
