Default Left Turn Cancel, 86.5

Since I needed something else to do... I noticed there isn't a functional turn cancel to the left on my car as of yesterday.

I was digging around in the archives and found a variety of fixes. Tony, did that screw mod hold?

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...-cancel-2.html

It would seem my choices are:

A. replace entire module
B. replace tab mechanism as per Alan
C. repair or modify mechanism
D. put up with it

I thought about "D", but its actually pretty damn annoying to have to manually cancel each time.
I guess my actual question is in regard to "C". Are there other fixes out there, or anything new to try since this thread in 2013.

Many thanks ahead of time.

Choose "D". At my age, the turn signal is usually left on just to **** off and scare the millennials who are texting, not to mention when I may have just plain forgot.........or don't hear it......or didn't see the blinker.....or, uh....what is this thread about?

Although I thought I swore off quick repairs like this... I just wrapped electrical tape around the left cancel tab. Has worked great for the last 3 months. Got the idea from someone here...

Can't you file it down square? Thought I saw a thread with photos on that.

Electrical tape worked for me also. Took some experimenting.

I have the same problem with my turn signal. How did you guys re-rivet the top plate back on? Any pics? I'm a little nervous about drilling out the rivets without a good way to put it back together again!
