That's the right way to do it.

Sorry, that made me laugh! I was not aware of this food preparation technique, and that it can be applied to gluing foam seals.

This has to do with what seems typical in the 928 business community. I may have expected this from Carl because he tries so hard, but I'm a little disappointed with Thommy (my vendor for those playing along at home).

And this isn't an isolated situation because Rich at Garage 928 has been steering buyers directly to the vendor, and doing so publicly. Which is strange because I used to supply him as a reseller. So he should know better, as well as Carl.
You can post in this thread but can't respond in the sale thread or PMs about your Seat-mounted Quick-release Fire Extinguisher Brackets? Paid for a product over a month and a half ago with nothing received but promises. And I am not alone.

Freddie here, the fuzzy guy on the left.
<----
The staff went off to bed and left the computer logged in again. He really should stop doing that, but I've had lots of fun on those kinky-kitty websites.

I can't believe he sent off money for that bracket! That's like two cases of my favorite cat food! Well not as good as the halibut that Sue left on the counter, but that's a different story. I am sure she meant it for me but for some reason she got all weird.. Staff, what can I say?? Hard to find good ones..

I thought the deal on that bracket was that something was supposed to show up in the post? Nothing but silly magazines and some other junk from Iris, whoever she is.

But what about those wheels?? That was like four winters ago!! Have I told you how much I hate winter? I know those two agonized over that deal, even had a silly idea of showing them off at PCA Parade in Monterey... three summers ago!! Monterey, think of the fish that would have bought!!

Then what? Nothing, that's what. The only promise was "not before" something, I can't remember what... my brain gets fuzzy for some reason.I'm not good at math but I thought the deal was that you traded money for something.. like halibut. It's not supposed to work like my litter box.

JD, you're breaking the staff's hearts here, and that's messing me up. Please, dude, get it together and make it right.

I ended up buying them directly from Thommy in Germany as no one was aware you were still selling them.
Hi Randy, I would suggest refraining from the presumption that you know what is important to me. I've maintained a relatively consistent presence here since 2002 (and the email list before that), and have contributed as an enthusiast here for the most part, aside from 1 year as a sponsor where at $1200 was not value-added.
Please keep in mind that there are many other outlets to market product. It's unfair to assume that if I didn't sell here or even on my own website, I wasn't selling.
Regarding the link to that thread, I was aware of it but couldn't sell there as I'm not a Rennlist sponsor. Others could've referred you to me (which didn't happen), but I couldn't market in that thread (as you should well know).

I guess I don't understand why you would assume I wasn't selling them anymore. Sure, they're not on my website with an 'add to cart'... and there are many other vendors who sell things without having them available to purchase on their website.
Your rubber surround order was a backorder situation that a tried to fill but lost the source. I stopped offering them from there after. If I did not communicate with you appropriately, I'm sorry.
Regarding the engine harness, we did agree to list them on my website, which I did. And I did purchase and use one of your harnesses for a house resto, however for the next one I went with a different source because my criteria had changed.

C'mon Randy, enough with the trolling.

I'm sorry Marc, I didn't see your post as it was on page 3. I hadn't been out here in a while.
I've sent you a PM with tracking info and updated the sale thread as well. Again, my apologies for the serious lateness. Been a tough few months but things are looking up!

Hi Jim and Sue, as much as I enjoy third person dialogue, I need to abridge your post to address Freddie.
Like I said to Marc (YT1), you should've received an email with tracking info and I've updated the sale thread to communicate this, along with my apologies.

Yes, Project Phone Dial has went on for way too long. What I've been trying to do for some is get it together.
The move from Virginia to Michigan this past Summer really took a toll on me and 928 Classics. Since the move, I've had to rebuild the business from the ground up, almost from scratch just like I had done 4 years ago.
I'm starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel, and I'm looking forward to Spring.
I will take some time this week to update the Project PD thread and team. Fair enough?

In closing, I'm really taken aback by all of this, and really can't share how I feel other than to say I'm disappointed.
I've been passionate about 928s for years and have share my enthusiasm here for almost just as many. I've done good things for this community and continue to do so.
I contribute here, on my website, on Facebook, answer other enthusiasts in need via emails and phone calls. I do the best I can, really.
I regret now that I publicly posted my disdain for a situation that really caught me off guard. I've never done so before and will never again.
I will deal with Carl and the supplier privately as I should have. Carl, please accept my apologies for precipitating the 'cluttering up' on your Sponsor thread.

I have received the pre-shipment email, thanks.
