It sure does to me. It is still more silver than tan (fewer heat cycles) and the zinc plating is still more zinc than not. I think the engine bay supports the mileage claim.

I was thinking that it was way too tan for that mileage and looks more like mine when I got it at 60k but maybe it's my monitor playing tricks on me.
Hey guys, I sold my 928 [for 15k] to a really kool guy from NY. Miss it a lot and regret selling but needed space. Looking now for a decent '85 or '86 manual.
Tony, the 912 "R" is badass. Dry sump air cooled 4 with ample power. Paint and body turned out beautiful. Putting in the glass and interior now
