Same process....and when accomplished it will look like a bomb went off inside your 928.....you will know far more about 928 wiring than you ever thought possible. Not really so much difficult as time consuming. And while you are in there it is a good time to check and replace the heater a/c vacuum pods. The lights in the instrument pod etc..

Here is a writeup that I did on the dash r&r that I did on an '88 S4..

This may be the same info you were already viewing, but there it is if you need it.

Should only take about 4 minutes. If you have 3 fast workers like Dean, Ed and me. Opps we had Mike too. So 4 fast workers.

It took me a while...spread it out over a few nights to make sure I didn't damage anything in the process. Console takes a while just to disconnect and mark all the wires. Pod needs to be handled gently. I followed the guide here, and had it printed out with me in the car.
I also had a bunch of small containers around to hold the various hardware bits for each piece. Once for the console, one of the glovebox, one for the pod, one for the steering assembly.
Getting it out of the car with only 1 person is a bit of a chore as well. But definitely possible.
Like most things 928 - slow and steady is the way to go.

It can be removed from the car within 2 hours, reasonably. I tried to specify as to what size all of the hardware was in my writeup. That should speed you up. Just take your time handling anything electronic, particularly the instrument cluster and the window, sunroof, and rear wiper switches. You don't want to lose the small parts from the insides of the switches. The concern with handling the cluster is upsetting the printed circuit board if you are rough with it.

Not required, but I found it far easier to navigate around with them out. Granted, I had them out for some other work anyways, but after doing it with them out - I'm not sure if I would want to do it with them in.
