I love it. Years ago I took a used car to a body shop for repairs. When I picked it up I got the repair order. Hand written across the invoice was "FIX CAR." That was all is said. No more. Why bother to itemized anything? The same attention to detail when fixing the car was given to doing the bill. So when I went to sell the car I showed the prospective buyers the bill. There, everything was fixed. There was no doubt the transmission was rebuilt and it got new wiper blades along with the new paint job. Surely they ground the crankshaft when they were installing new license plate bulbs. It is all there on the repair order. The car was fixed. It says so right there.
I couldn't make this stuff up.

I'm putting this link here.

Supposedly this is a Genuine Porsche water pump (rebuild???) from the dealer just down the road from me. Fairly inexpensive, and makes me believe it really is a rebuilt pump from Porsche.

928 106 015 12 CRV is one of those numbers. On the Porsche system it comes up as a none available none production part.

I send pictures of each step to the owner of the car. Keeps them entertained while the car is getting worked. Also they can keep that as a proof of what exactly was done to the car and if they ever want to sell the car, they can show it to the buyer. Also, unless the owner doesn't' want it, I send back every part I change too. This way there is no question what was changed and what shape the old parts was. I think it's better than an itemized list.

Well clearly you guys are good mechanics then if you write a novel on the invoice or make the process an automotive burlesque show by texting teasing pictures of parts removal.
