Just saw you edit jheis, thanks for clarifying! I was thinking of posting this question, as I thought that it looked like one.

I guess that means that it's been replaced at least once!

I believe the same (or very similar) bushing is used in the clutch pedal "helper" spring linkage - so it may have come from either place. Obviously used, so it may have been replaced and dropped on the floor - or left out...

There was a recent thread about using Nivea lotion on the leather with fantastic results: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...a-results.html

The Nivea is good stuff - if you get the original German version, not the US/Mexican/anywhere else version. Available from Amazon.

While vacuuming the interior, i noticed these holes next to the parking break handle. Can you tell me what's missing, and where I can source the missing parts?

US car would have the fader and headlight adjustment *****, unless your 82 has a rear hatch release instead. Not sure when they came out with the hatch release and eliminated the headlight adjuster, but if you look at your lower hatch release, behind tool cover, and it has an electric motor attached...that will help eliminate the if you have one or not. Front location/hole in carpet would be fader adjustment switch/**** and second location/hole would be headlight adjustment control/**** or rear hatch release switch/****.

Does your car have the electronic hatch release? I have that on both sides, and a fader for the stereo on driver's side only. I'm not a Euro, but I am an 86.5 so it might be different.

I think so...please see pictures below.

Isn't there supposted to be some kind of sticker in my car that has the codes for all of the options (paint, etc) near the spare tire? I looked but I couldn't find it.

I also took some pics of the muffler area today. I can't seem to find any hangers around it. It looks like it's just hanging from the pipe...!

hatch release wasn't available until 84.

There is a muffler hang point near where pipes exit that you will be able to connect to. May be just a bolt hole if the hanger is gone.

Great looking 82!

The sticker with option codes started in the mid 80's.

Just checked the owner's manual. Page 7 makes reference to a Vehicle Identification Label next to the spare wheel well (it's not there). Manual further states that a duplicate should be in the Warranty and Maintenance brochure (it isn't)
