Winter project list
I just made the mistake of listing all the things I ought to do this winter. It's a daunting list, especially for a car that I would call "reasonably well sorted" and reliable. My first fall/winter with it included TB/WP, MM/OPG, CV joints, shocks and tires. My second winter included an intake refresh. The third winter looks to be on smaller quality-of-life issues. There is one semi-major item - the transmission shifts harshly and is reluctant to kick down.
I'll be very pleased if I do half of these things. But allow me to fantasize about a car with nothing wrong with it....

- Get rid of raspy exhaust(?) noise
- Service transmission
- Adjust quadrant
- Address harsh shifting/reluctant kickdown
- New AC parts
- Investigate/fix “hot cabin” issue
- PS reservoir
- PS hose(s)
- Ball joint boots
- Fix cruise control
- Improve carpeting
- Make seats (linen) less dingy
- Look for new wheels and/or rear tires
- Remove alarm system
- Acquire spare relays/jumpers
- Fuel filter
- Seat latch
- Ride height, i.e.,free up shock collars
- Hatch release
- Polish paint/remove swirling
- Make engine bay pretty
- Nose repaint
- Paintless dent repair
- Replace/repair cracked rear signal light
- Put Reno radio in, or something more useful
- Bump up agreed-value insurance!

Curt,
Even at half...it would be a good idea to have started yesterday...or a good month prior to that...lol.
Pretty ambitious list, good luck.
Me...
Maybe do a few things to the interior of the 84, but nothing to exotic. And some cleaning on the 78's exterior bottom side, but nothing to extreme.
Brian.

My post on Winter Projects from last year:

Didn't get through all of them, but made a good dent.

Well you have a big advantage over us PNW guys in that your winter lasts way longer than ours. I don't know how the California guys ever get anything done.
Oh, and you probably already know this but tackle the easiest stuff first. Not sure how you prioritized your list, but I would put that easy stuff at the top.

I have formalized this theory in the past: the darker, the colder, and the longer the winter, the better a car is maintained. If the garage is heated, that is; there is otherwise an upper bound. Fewer miles, too.
Easy stuff first? Thanks for the permission.

I should be able to fit in the Bugeye list early and late during its winter, which is longer since it has no top or heater. Most of the things on the 928 list don't even exist on the Bugeye, but I've been thinking it might be useful to have rear brakes or non-scary steering, or even both.
Speaking of scary, another add:
28. Better headlights
