Ah man. Power steering line I'm guessing.

That high pressure power steering line runs inches from the exhaust manifold. The automatic transmission cooler lines run parallel to the exhaust pipes.
Folks, if we are running any of these cars with original PS lines, front fuel lines or auto trans cooling line flex hose segments, we are just waiting in line to be next. We are all way past "scheduling" these refreshes. If you don't have the time to replace these, then pay someone.

I bought Greg's stuff for the auto transmission cooler and fuel lines. The power steering pressure line is also still available and not too expensive (yet) considering the consequences of failure so no reason not to buy the Porsche part imo. Seeing yet another victim makes me feel like it was money very well spent.

Where are these PS line failures occurring? Near the PS pump or near the reservoir? I replaced the rubber lines that go to the reservoir, but haven't touched the side connected to the pump.

In addition to replacing the worn/older hose in question,
What recommendations might be appropriate for heat mitigation on that particular area?
Is there some sort of heat shielding that makes sense?
Any certain products or materials?
