Eric, I've got an extra black hatch frame and glass (glass is not installed) from my S4 when i did my re-paint. Its yours for the cost of you buying me a beer when you pick it up 75 miles away in Saginaw. You just have to fill in the wing holes when you repaint.

Don't be too hard on your son. I am sure he is hurting inside about this and he is young. This could have been SOOO much worse. Please don't let a car effect your relationship with your son. I only wished I had may son back so he could make these kinds of mistakes.

Update.

Paul (Ninespub) donated the hatch/glass and Mark (Sharks) had the rear bumper items needed to get this 928 on the road to recovery. Thanks guys!!

Now, we will let John do his magic on the straightening. Some pics:

Already look almost normal. Might want to have a good look at the fuel tank, maybe pull it and see if there are any cracks.

Good to see this recovery is coming along nicely and that my perceptions in post 41 have turned out to be accurate. The frame damage in your photo, whilst obviously not desirable is most definitely repairable by someone who knows their onions and I think you will be surprised at just how quickly those creases will be knocked out and the plot restored to normal or very close to it.

Looking forward to seeing the end result in the very near future.

Rgds

It's a unibody, there is no frame.

noun: unibody; plural noun: unibodies; noun: uni-body; plural noun: uni-bodies

a single molded unit forming both the bodywork and chassis of a vehicle.

In other words the one piece frame that you bolt the doors, hatch, bonnet, wings and suspenders to.

Are you for real? The entire body of the 928 is a unibody, it has no frame. It's not a frame on body vehicle like pick up trucks and older North American cars. This can't be news to you.
