^ nice, I guess the older cars didn't have the rear wiper switch on the console beside the window switches?

Correct. The older cars operated the rear wiper with one of the switches on the top right of the Pod that was activated by twisting

This may be one that can be acquired at a relative steal. Hypothesis based on the time of year this is up for auction (pre-tax return / refund, etc) and given the stock market uncertainty and European issues around Brexit and currency.
I'm tempted to jump back in but don't have the room for one that should probably be kept as an investment / show car rather than driven and enjoyed.

I came across these workshop manuals on Offer Up. Full 9 volume set in the original boxes (cool). Published in '88. I contacted the seller and decided not to buy these for myself since shipping to Seattle was a little much ($60) and I am hoping to find a set published after 1990 if possible. Good price at $300 IMO. Especially if you can pick them up locally in the LA area.

This Petrol car is worth a lot more than the estimated selling price.
BUT its worth what the seller will take and the buyer will give.
Its a beauty at any price

Doesn't matter what the seller will take, since it's a no reserve auction!
However, I have it's twin (except that it's an auto and 110k miles).
I bet that my car's AC works better than this one :-)

Hey Zach, Heading up to Barett-Jackson Scottsdale Fri-Sun. Bonhams auction for Petrol is on Thu so we'll miss it. If Hoi's the last bidder hopefully we'll see him driving around Scottsdale over the weekend T

I never bid against Hoi......BUT this car is very tempting. The buyers commission is 12.5%, seller pays 10%, I think, so that 22.5% that won't go into the sellers pocket. No wonder BAT has become wildly successful.
If anybody will see the car before the auction I would love to get some feedback.
