Hoi, waiting for your prediction of the final price on this "find another" gem.
Dean has sold some of the best of them.

So what do you actually do with a car like that? Actually using it will hammer the market value (if you are concerned with that), and won't it require some reconditioning due to lack of use?

I take it it's the first 1990 Canadian without airbags that you've seen. Over my 20+ years of 928 ownership, I've seen many mint examples. We would have to see the build sheet before jumping to conclusions. The Euro market was even weirder when it came to airbag options for 928s, ask me how I know.
So i was able to dig up some history the first owner was contacted and confirmed that the car had small fender benders which ICBC British Columbia`s insurance agency does not have a record of which means they were paid for by the Customer and not the insurance.4
As For 20k+ claim after speaking Weissach in Vancouver the had a partial list which contained front bumper oil cooler and a rad support which concurs with the date of the claim so this being my guestimate the air bags were deployed. Which probably explains the Dash difference which i figure was replaced by the first available item that contained functional air bags. if the price of the dash at a Porsche dealer is anything close to a Bmw or any other European brand it was probably in the mid 12-15000$ including the air bags.so it explains the high cost of repair estimate. The frame on this car is intact and I will provide the buyer with all of the contacts related to the car including the original owner who at the time traded the 928 For a 328gts. I am still waiting on a few document in order to be able to prove most of this.

The airbags were not replaced and I think that’s why people are talking about how bad the accident was and the quality of the repair. The early, non airbag parts were installed as opposed to what should be in the car. Whether due to the cost to fix the car properly or the person who did the work, doesn’t really matter at this point. The car is not equipped as it should be. Sad because this car looks like it could be a good one with a bit of TLC.

IMO I think this car would sell the same in 5 to 10 years regardless if it had 5978 miles or 9978 miles. Keeping it under 10K seems like the magic number. That gives the next owner 4K to play with it. I'd probably eat those miles up in the first summer and have to sell it in the fall.

Hmm...... The 84 Chiffon White auto is already over $22K. The 90 GT is still under $4k. I know it's not comparing apples to apples. But still, it tells you a little bit about that GT doesn't it?
