Hey that wing on that beautiful silver car looks familiar!!! LOL. That really is a beautiful 928 racer John.

Don Hanson's car was a beautiful monster too. Always loved that car and reading about his/its exploits.

This was always a favorite picture of mine. No idea on the car's history. Any additional pictures are appreciated.

haha... indeed , i still have the car ( copy of Carl Fausset's car in 2009 ) and a good '86 16V engine. Plan is to build it for Belgian rallies.
Project got aside after Rob van Kol , Havik Racing ( brother , mechanic shop , of that yellow 928 "Dutch Stallion Racing" ) got broke and disappeared ,with my almost finished engine build, in the night… when i had about 20K payed in it... you understand it was not a pretty experience. Never heard or seen him again. Of course.
Went rallying historic with a BMW E9 and still so… but i want to try the 928 also as i have the car and engine. Again i will try get it running with my 4 webers IDA48 .

PS i was building the car for track racing but meanwhile i lost interest in driving around same circles again and again , and enjoyed rally more. But i think that doesn't need much adaptions, car is on coilovers, so i can dial it easy a bit up. And a good sump protection plate.
