I don't recall seeing these ones. Apologies if a repeat.

The 1st link is of the Factory & Brumos sponsored 928 that only ran at Daytona in 1984. Vic Elford & Dick Attwood were two of the drivers. Been previous threads on it, including pics & an Excellence magazine article written on it. Supposed to be at the Factory in Germany currently. Bob Snograss, the former GM of Brumos had the idea of adding the Little #8 after the Large #92 in the numbering of the car. There are models of both of these race 928s currently available. I have the Brumos version & have seen the LeMans model in person, quality models.

The second one is the boutinaud race car that race in le mans in '83 and '84. The link shows it in 83 LM style.
That car is being rebuilt by boutinaud team which is already in the business. He is on the way to engage the car in LM classic that year, july '16.

As I know, the brumos car is at the porsche museum today as a Porsche 928 S2. The particular cas of that car is it all aluminium body. I have on my own few pictures about the front suspension that was very altered from original design. Very interesting mount.
At Daytona '84, the car finished 15th but 4th in class. It seems that Atwood and Elford that was porsche drivers at that time said that the car was very low but so reliable they could enterred a good result in that race.

The Brumos car is not really a Brumos car but a genuine Werks car, which was raced very successfully in the VLN the year before. It held the lap record for VLN for a while. Then the bodywork was modified and entered into 24hrs of Daytona...

Likely. Erik PM'd me several links to Rennlist posts about the car. Has quite the story.
To be clear, it doesn't have a motor in it. Otherwise, it's an incredibly clean looking car. Would be worth the money just as man cave art. Seriously sexy machine.

I was told they just finished a lean sale on in after it sat there for two years. Title in hand.
It's about two blocks from my office.

Given that they did a lien sale ( legally steal it from the registered owner) they have almost no real investment in the car...possibly some unpaid labor. So pretty much anything they get is a bonus !! If Maverick is truly in prison (again) he had little chance of protesting/defending against a lien sale.......

I think it is... There was an old thread about old racers in the VLN on a different forum/facebook where the designer of the Trigema livery appeared and he confirmed that the Trigema car was modified into the Brumos car. After all, it was super successful in the VLN, so it made sense for Porsche to enter it as the "outside" choice in the Daytona.
I have seen pictures of the aluminium bodied 928 and I think it is different.
