Default Hi from Belgium

hello guys...i'm Norbert from Belgium , building a track day racer 928...
i bought a 82 928S , competly stripped the car and build it to copy Carl Fausetts car... so , yes, i'm customer from928M...

what i "engineerd" myself : replaced rear window with aluminium "midengine" look and the complete injection stuff was removed to make place for Webers IDA48s...soon to be on the dyno with results ...

My rear window construction isn't a great succes because we started from to thick material i think... weights 9.6 kg .. as the OEM window was 11.4... so there is more to gain in thinner plate... ( one of next projects ? ...)

Hello Norbert,

Welcome to the group. What a cool project. What tracks will you be racing? Spa? Nurburgring?

Thanks,
David

Wow, looks like a real track beast - nice!

I'm not sure what benefit you get out of that 'mid-engine look' modification.

Seems all it does is restrict your rear view vision?

How will you attach a rear spoiler?

rear view vision isn't that much restricted... your mirror is that close to the little window... copyd it in fact from my corvette C3 '70...

rear spoiler will be mounted on the hatch side frames, just as usual... with supports underneath...

tought i spared alot of sun heat inside the cabin... and like the looks...
