https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/5517901820.html

I drove this car yesterday. Six owners, current owner about a year. Nice car, just needs some love. Jump post cover present but mis installed - now fixed.

God, I hate when they stretch the rubber to a too wide rim....

Very rare with the matte black spoiler (option code 596).

Are those 19" wheels? Seems like a reasonable price to me. I would trade the wheels for something more OE and 17".

Did you happen to ask him about what "high end Porsche shop" serviced it for the past 6 years? I inquired about the car earlier this month and asked the owner about that and he told me the previous owner did most of the work himself. I didn't press him on it. Just seemed kinda sketchy to put that in the ad if not true. Did the car have a good maintenance history otherwise?

Default '93 GTS

The current owner is not a 928 "guy". He bought the car on EBay from Illinois. Very little maintenance history. Comes with original 17" rims. I did not realize a 928 S4 type spoiler was a GTS option, I thought it represented an incorrect replacement. We learn something every day.

All the pics are from eBay ad in Illinois. I bid it to $38k and I think it went for around $38.5k last fall. Can't remember the high end shop name in Illinois but the previous owner seemed pretty straightforward about everything he had done to it.

Its not. Its flat surface GTS spoiler painted matte black when S4 spoiler has textured surface.

Well, what are we waiting for? Someone snap it up, please. Don't be agonizing over "eating crackers in bed" stuff.

I'm thinking fondly of my white car adventure in 2013, a fly and drive to/from Oceanside, where my brother lives....

Every GTS I've seen with option code 596 has had a textured S4-like spoiler. I've seen like 2 or 3 of them (we own one of them).

Looks like a pretty nice example, interior very clean, not a fan of those wheels but ad says originals come with purchase so an easy swap. I enjoyed the 750 mile drive home from Tampa to Atlanta and I am sure who ever buys this one could have a great road trip!

As James Bailey said when I bought my 93 in February "We all know they aren't making any more of them".

Where they early or late MY cars? Maybe factory did run out of old stuff and started to make them from painted parts.

Early '93's. Think the vast majority of North American GTS's with that option were early '93's (like five in a row including this example were fitted with it).

Anyone else notice the dented frame rails from jack stands?

Looks nice otherwise.
