I am having a plug for the mold machined. All my local resources just don't have machine time, so trying a new vendor. They only have a small rig, so cutting the plug from six slices of 0.75" MDF and will pin them together, sand, and seal.
So, everyone who expressed interest, its going to be time soon to take some deposits to get the mold made.

What will be the cost for each unit?
Will there be various options/upgrades available as on the original offering?
Great project, Hans!

It took a bit longer than I hoped with SITM and a couple other distractions, but I have the enclosure modeled, and it looks like it should fit with plenty of clearance and have a spot-on target volume.
Here is a link to a 3D model showing the enclosure portion of the design. I have the composite part translucent so you can see the driver inside and the relief for the amp connections easier:

Now I need to find someone to machine the foam plug for me so I can test it and make any fit changes, and then send it off for a mold.
Thanks
Hans

The Stereo Integrity BM mkIV is going to be produced again with an upgraded voice coil to handle 500 watts this time around.
Might be worth waiting a bit to see when they become available again to be used in this setup as they are an excellent shallow sub.

This new enclosure will only naively support the SB-Acoustics SW26DAC76-8 and the Alpine PDX series amplifiers. If someone chooses to attempt to install a different driver, it will be at their own skill level and judgement.

I just so happen to have a 5 channel PDX amp ready in waiting... Whats the ticket price on these going to be?

Ready and Waiting... On a side note I REALLY like the Alpine PDX-V9 amp, simple compact easy to install....Perfect for nice decent system. I have them in several of my cars. Sure you can go way overboard with other products but for the price/size/performance not sure you can beat it. IMO

As I am not a vendor here with Rennlist, I can not offer any products or pricing on the forum.
I will post some additional information to Facebook early next week, but I wont know pricing until I get the mold quoted, which will happen after the plug is machined.
Its not a simple process.
Thanks

I think Randy makes a good suggestion. Seems Hans has mostly focused on developing for and selling to the enthusiasts who follow Rennlist and possibly on FB, Pelican, etc. The development and production costs always come into the discussions and some ideas never get off the ground due to lack of enough interest (or, rather lack of enough ability to buy...everyone drools over the stuff Hans designs and makes). But what do I know...I'm sure this has been thought through before. Still, I can imagine a good global market for Hans' inventions and quality. It's not normal to see 100% favorable reviews of products - but seems Hans has achieved this more than a few times.

I have a new company quoting the mold and parts. I hope to have that price back this week. Who would still be interested if I go forward with a new mold?
Thanks
