It took a bit longer than I hoped with SITM and a couple other distractions, but I have the enclosure modeled, and it looks like it should fit with plenty of clearance and have a spot-on target volume.

Here is a link to a 3D model showing the enclosure portion of the design. I have the composite part translucent so you can see the driver inside and the relief for the amp connections easier:

Now I need to find someone to machine the foam plug for me so I can test it and make any fit changes, and then send it off for a mold.

Thanks
Hans

I don't remember if I indicated interest for one previously, but I would like one when they're available.

Hans: If I may make a suggestion - since this post has gotten so long, I recommend starting a fresh thread and have admin put a "sticky" on it when you are ready to take orders.

I havent been able to get the foam plugs machined. My normal source is moving his shop and doesnt have his equipment setup again yet.

If anyone has access to a cnc router that can do surfacing and has at least 5" of Z-travel, the files are ready. I could go old-school and cut them out and shape by hand, but I would prefer not to go that direction.

That sounds like something we all could wait for the normal source to be up and running! Too much dust for the lungs!

Besides, I have heard patience is a virtue...

The sharkwoofer has become practically an all in one system. I want to keep my stereo period to the early 90s. Plus $100 is a little easier to justify.
