Good choice... This is a nice car. Mike is the President of the 928 Buckeye Landsharks (I'm the VP) and we both know this car. I've been busy talking Mike out of buying the damn thing... He's already got TWO very nice sharks, but this car does have a certain appeal. Mike is also our resident detail / paint / polish guru and he's been polishing it up (can't help himself)... You won't be disappointed with the curb appeal

Mike is as honest as they come and will tell you everything he knows, good, bad or indifferent. Even so, it's good your getting the PPI from a third party - always a good idea Good luck! Be sure to tell us how it goes!

Thanks jbrob007!

Mike Buccicone has been nothing but good to me. He has been courteous and professional in all of our brief dealings. He has patiently listened to all my questions and concerns, and helped me out when things started going a little pear-shaped.
To top it all off, he has offered to assist me getting to the repair facility to pick up the 928. (I won't call it mine until the PPI is done and intent of money is served.)
This 928 is beautiful! It has been tough to be objective, but I am happy with the impending deal, and the subsequent repairs.

Everything is in place. All that remains now is the result of the PPI on Monday morning. I am not getting a PPI in an attempt to strong arm Mike into taking less money. I am getting a PPI so that I know EXACTLY what I am getting into.

Do not worry, as soon as this 928 is mine, I will be crowing about it on Rennlist and whoever else will listen.

Thanks for the comments and advice!

What exactly does this mean in today's day and age?

Is there some credential that is still current for this..?

Seth, good luck on the purchase. It looks like a nice one.

So...that didn't work.
There was an issue at the repair facility, they are unable to perform the PPI this morning.

We shall try again tomorrow.

I know that it is disappointing Seth but really after two years another day or so will be ok.

Oh I know. I am not worried about it.
Merely stating for an update.

Just means I have to wait a little longer to order a Momo steering wheel.

Seth, the 928 Technician was sick today. They called me when I was 5 minutes away. Sorry I had to drive it it in the rain today. The wipers all work. Only issue is the cowl cover is hitting the mechanism and making noise. I had it secured the other day. My suggestion is get the new Jerry Feather cover from Roger. The original are just too flimsy and sag. Planning on doing that on my '86.5 & '88 S4.

Hello Mike,
Eduardo e-mailed me this morning, most likely as he was trying to call you. It is what it is. I am not so shallow that I am uptight because someone has a medical issue. I would much rather wait and let Gary take care of himself.

Like Brian said, I've waited almost two years. A few more days won't kill me.

Thanks for the heads-up on the wipers. I have seen Jerry Feather's posts on the cowl cover, and have contemplated getting one.

Thanks!

Jerry's cover is fantastic, I have it. Regarding the cowl cover hitting the wiper mechanism, this applies to both the stock cover and Jerry's...there are three or four clips up under there that the cover has to slide into...they can be hard to see.

bureau13, thanks for the heads-up! I appreciate it.

I have found and bookmarked Jerry's thread again on the covers. Very nice.

Those clips/tabs are hard to see or feel. Removal of the cowl will confirm if any are missing/broken off.

Are these tabs on the body or the cowl cover?
I am trying to visualize what I am looking for.
