Default 1978 928 at public auction in Maryland tomorrow

Just got an email that there will be a 928 at tomorrow's public auction, might be a good way to get a deal. Looks reasonable enough. Location is in Laurel, MD.

Looks like a very early OB US spec with headlights upgraded to 8 inchers.

If those are the stock wheels they appear to be 16"ers making this a 5-speed.

I think its a euro Randy. Strangely it looks like they moved the euro side marker to the front

Likely a '77 build with no side markers and the US conversion put them where they are now...get a VIN!
55k miles, someone could get a steal...

Do you really believe the mileage on these older cars? I'm always skeptical.

Looks like it has the pin style wiper arms. When did they change to the hook style?

it doesn't matter. This one screams of very early car. Those side markers are dead give aways. Also, the seats, from what you can tell looking through the windshield, still show good pleats at least on the top part. Not sure how you can go wrong on an auction like this.

Hope someone here saves old whitey.

Thanks for the info. I spoke with the auction people and they said you had to be present to bid. If there is anyone close able to go and spend my money please let me know. Probably difficult being Easter weekend though.
Thanks

Oooooo! This is the older brother of my '78! But it is in much better shape than my car. Anyone guessing what this auction would fetch?

$5-6000?
