thank you for the link. Pretty nice work. I redid my whole panel today, bought electric contact cleaner and replaced all the fuses with new, shiny / gold looking ones.
Next i cleaned the rear ground strap in the trunk.
I then tried to fire it up to no avail. The fuel pump buzzes for a second when i turn the key on. I crank but no start. So i cleaned the resistor and checked and there was ohms on both of them (0.8 and .10) both, and they were hot both.
My friend cranked and i pulled the wire from the distributor and placed it close to a ground, with no spark. so im assuming the coil is shot? There is 12 volts to the positive side of the coil, so it is energized by the batter.
I did not touch the green wire from the distributor yet.
I spend a good three hours trying to fire it up. I even replaced the coil with two other blue coils i had in the basement for years (not sure if they work) but still no spark.
any advice would be appreciated.
thank you,
Sam

Forgot to mention that the fuel injection relay (XVI) works fine, checked it today.
I dont mind buying a new coil if that will solve the spark problem. Hopefully that will be the solution to the problem.
