Default #44, the saga begins

I will use this as a journal as I get the car back to driver quality.

My son and I took out #44 tonight for a inventory drive, just to see what needs work. Until now I had only drivin the car a few miles at a time, this time we went 20 or so miles each way, both highway and surface streets. We discovered a few issues that wil be the first items to address.

1) after about 5 miles, the clutch pedal started dropping, by the time we were at the destination, a friend's house, the pedal useless, like all the fluid drained out. We checked and confirmed that the fluid level was full telling me that the master or slave is leaking past the internal seal and will need to be replaced. After sitting for an hour or two, the clutch returned to normal for a few miles.

2) the car was difficult to start when warm, I am suspecting the fuel check valve and will start there.

3) the HVAC controls are dead, pretty minor compared to 1 and 2, but will be addressed.

In all I am still happy with the deal that I made, when the clutch was working, it was a nice driving car.
