Default 87 Auto radiator compatability

What year radiators will work with an early 87 auto?

For the 87 model you need a radiator with oil coolers in both tanks [ATF on the passenger side and engine oil on the driver's side]. From 90 [89?] onwards the oil cooler is separate and located under the radiator- a better arrangement I think and you could consider retrofitting this arrangement with the later radiator.

I think earlier radiators can be made to fit with some mods to the mounting bracket lugs.

Fred is right on specifics.

Let me add that all 928 radiators fit in all 928s. It's the coolers in the end tanks are the differences. The radiators themselves were made in all four permutations.

correct but fan shroud attachments are different. You can replace end tanks if that is where it is leaking.
