WANTED - Instrument Cluster Backing Plate - 79 to 81
I need/want a white backing plate for a 1979 to 1981 instrument cluster. The connections points (3) must be in good condition so we can apply a new circuit foil.
Complete cluster considered any condition as long as the backing plate is usable.
Cluster from USA/CAN & ROW will work.
email me at Roger@928srus.com with details and price
Cluster part number will be ----
928 641 110 30
928 641 107 30
928 641 109 30
Backing plate part number will be
928 641 953 00

Mark's gotta have a good one, there are piles of good early clusters there. Did you call Tom? (forgive the obvious dumb question....)

I just checked my stash..... Sorry no luck. I will check tomorrow in Atlanta for you though. It seems like I sold them a 79 parts car at some point. I will let you know.

Roger - I have same problem. 2 of the connector plastic tabs broke off. I am going to try and make 2 plastic pieces and then super glue them on. The last thing to do to get mine back on the road. Heart broken ......... 1981 plastic snaps pretty easily.

Roger I have an nice '81 backing plate I bought at Hershey on the cheap. If you are interested I'll snap a pic. Was hoping to salvage the white tabs and somehow use the tabs off the '81 plate to fix my '78 but I think it may be too much work and not give me the results I'm looking for. (so I'm on the hunt for a '78 US or Euro cluster if anyone here has one).
