You don't have to be a member - you become a subscriber. It's $35/year for US readers. More info at http://www.928forum.com

Hi all,
Maybe I can answer some questions here regarding 928 Forum Magazine.
First and always, I need to thank everyone for their help in bringing 928 Forum to fruition. We have a great volunteer staff that puts the mag together with no reward but the satisfaction of being able to hold the finest 928 periodical in their hands at the end of the process. All proceeds go back into the magazine, we are a non-profit corporation.
We have had support from every corner of community, first and foremost from Mr. John Dunkle and the mighty Rennlist, whose support has been immeasurable. Everything from allowing us to spread the word about the magazine on rennlist, to actually helping us with our own website. The vendors who have advertised and supported us, and have honored us by placing their ads in our magazine. And of course, our awesome subscribers, whose patience and understanding has allowed us to create the best and most informative magazine issues that we are capable of. The 928 Forum staff is all too aware how much we ask of our subscribers in paying a premium subscription fee, and having to exercise patience in the execution of our product. But time and time again, we've received the support of the subscribers that quality comes first for the 928 Forum Subscriber, which is the banner we will continue to carry in producing our fine magazine. It takes all of these components to come together for a niche magazine like 928 Forum to work, and I for one am so very glad that this community can come together to make the magazine work. It is a pleasure to be able to do my part in the whole process.
The premiere issue is sold out, but we do have Volume I, Issues 2, 3, and now 4 available. If any new subscribers would like to back date their subscription, I would be happy to start your subscription with Issue 2, and send you that issue together with 3, and 4. You will then be up for renewal after Volume II Issue I. Otherwise, if you subscribe now, your subscription will start with Volume I, Issue 4.
We have many exciting stories coming up. Our next issue will feature Mark Anderson's race car, in the kind of extreme detail that we have come to expect from lead writer Tom Middleton, and again with featured pics from Tony Irvin, who did the cover shot and centerspread for the Don Hanson DEVEK stroker article. I've seen the proofs, and all I can say is WOW.
I very much look forward to seeing many 928 Forum Magazine renewals come in for Volume II. There is so much more about our wonderful cars to explore and share.
Take Care,

Congrats on the "928 Forum Magazine". It is great to see enthusiasts really coming together and putting out a great product. I wish you all the best!
Unfortunately I won't be subscribing because an addional $10 usd for mailing 4 issues to Canada is nuts!

Hi Adam:
As always, it is great to see "our" magazine and all the interesting articles. As you can imagine, I was particularly excited to see the article about the interior work - a nice contrast to racing, racing, racing...
I also enjoyed your "OpArt" story, and the article on rebuilding the ECUs. However, I have read some negative comments on Mr. Müller on the German Porsche Fan Forum - mainly that it takes forever to get your unit repaired by him, not about the quality of the actual rebuild.
However, once again I tore my hair out over seeing the countless, mostly very basic flaws in spelling, grammar, typography and layout - without them this magazine could have been even better, while not adding a single penny of cost.
Would it be possible to have someone who speaks English proofread the articles before the next magzine goes to print? I mean, someone who speaks and writes "proper" English... Remember that some of your readers actually do know spelling and grammar and expect it to be correct in a premium publication about premium cars.
You are spending a lot of money on glossy printing, yet, the materials you deliver to the printer do not maximize the outcome. I'll be happy to be more specific in a private email to you (I already mailed you some suggestions after the last issue, but either they were ignored or have not been understood).
Since you earned so many "brownie points" with me this summer, I offer you guys a limited amount of my time to look over and consult about layout and typographical issues, as well as print production issues, before the next issue goes to print. I am convinced that together we can bring this publication up to the next level.
LOL! That's easily said when you are the only product in that market! Eveyone can be a leader - the question is, whether there are followers...
Email me privately, if you are interested in my offer to help!
PS: I apologize, if my words sound harsh. Please take them as constructive critizism. Thanks!

Nicole,
That was a harsh one!
After reading your statement, I am happy I got a friend living in Manchester UK, and perfectionist, to correct my article regarding DIY alignment for spelling and grammar
Remember if we push too hard, the next issue will be even more delayed maybe never come
PS: The #4 issue is still not arrived to Europe - I am looking in my mailbox every morning - Hopefully tomorrow
