928 Forum magazine
#47
Hi all,
My theory.......
There are lots of mail rooms across the country with copies of "928 Forum" sitting in the break room.. ;-)
Like Adam said, we are tracking this problem and will figure it out one way or another...

Tom

Tom: that as been my suspicion from the beginning.
Adam: as was the case with the past issues, I appreciate you taking the time to solve the problem.
There is no question that the magazine is well worth it and that, as the Editor, you are going further to solve problems than most would. On both counts, I thank you.

Adam:
Maybe you should do a test sending them in a neutral envelope, just with the return address (without the "928" printed on it. If they get to their destinations then, you know they previous ones got lost in break rooms, and maybe you can trigger a formal investigation with the postal service.
Another alternative is to offer a subscription option with 1st class mail.
- Regular price - bulk shipment
- Higher price 1st class for those who can't wait, want it undamaged (e.g. myself) in an envelope, or have trouble receiving bulk mail.

Mine arrived today!
Giggled like a kid, over the cartoons.....
Relished the driver's saticfaction in the op-art article.
Very glad to see the 928 owner's all over are helping each other keep 'em running, and keeping the factory involved? aware? in touch? with our concerns!
Haven't read the alignment article yet, saving that one for when I get to figuring that out. A future project....
Great magazine, Adam and crew!

I recently subscribed to the forum after reading the long list of kudos from happy subscribers. I can't wait to get issue #4 and the available back issues.
Kudos to the volunteer staff of the 928 Forum. Kudos to Nicole...nice offer of editorial assistance.
Best,
Tim

Recent subscribers just had their subscriptions and back issues sent first class mail on Tuesday (Post Office was closed on monday) so they should all be arriving soon.
I appreciate everyone's accolades for 928 Forum Magazine.
I need to raise a point however and give credit to everyone on the editorial board that puts in time and effort in the magazine, that perhaps don't get the "face" time that I do. Out of respect for the entire 928 Forum Magazine board, please address compliments just to the crew, I know I'm included in there. No need to name me individually apart from the rest of the guys.
Thanks all!

Well put Adam.
All of us 'know' that there is more than just you putting the mag together - but we hear from you more than the others (well....typically we do).
That being said - glad that you stepped forward to ensure the rest of the 'crew' gets recognized for all your collective efforts - which are highly appreciated by yours truly.
(still waiting for my copy with baited breath)

I got my issue 4 today - really a positive surprise when I got the envelope opened - It looks great - congratulation Adam and Co.
Now looking forwards to read all the articles, up to now I only read my own alignment article
As Gregg K already said last week, there are unfortunately few printing error, I will list them below, not for criticising Adam and his crew, but for getting the article easier understandable for the readers.
Please read this and correct accordantly:
Photos:
- The photo of Gorm page 5 is photo no 2
- The black home made tool page 21 is photo no. 3
- The professional tool page 21 is photo no. 4
Figures:
Fig 1: 'A, B, C' should be 'a, b, c'
Fig 5: 'c' to be the hypotenuse (the red) in all four triangles
Adam:
- For preventing similar failures in future, I would recommend that the complete article to be sent to the author before the final printing
- Please remember we promised an issue for Gorm, Les and Anders, I gladly pay for this if needed
All the readers:
I really hope a lot of you will get advantage of using this homemade system.
If you have questions or comments, or proposals for improvements, you are most welcome to contact me
Regards from Erik in Denmark

Adam et al. at the 928 Forum. Kudos on your fine publication. I received the latest issue plus 2 back issues. I spent the weekend perusing them at my leisure. Wow, how nice is it to read a clubzine totally focused on the 928. I learned a lot and will look forward to every new issue with glee.
Here's what is probably a FAQ by now. How can I get a copy of Volume 1 (issue 1) without infringing on any copyright agreements? How about reprinting the first run Adam? Any possibility of that? ;-) Please let me know if they become available as a "back issue."
Best,
Tim
