It was never in the grand scheme of things when I bought the "Non Running" 86.5 that I found on BAT. The car is a stunner to look at and now since the motor went south due to my "enhancement" powder coating the intake, GB has come to the rescue. My family is 100% in support, albeit a bit of eye rolling but I'm over the moon about it. New clutch, motor mounts,WP/belt, fuel lines, PK chip etc. All of these things I was planning on doing anyway. My neighbor just bought an 08 911S with 6k on the clock. 55 large, 89 large new. 35k in depreciation. Nice car, don't get me wrong. Whatever I end up with with this car, three things I know. 1) It will not depreciate 2) I can drive the snot out of it with confidence 3) I hope to put as many miles as possible on it.

The "late" S4 tensioner were installed very late in 1986. The "core" engine had them.

Yes, the pads are new....it's a rebuild.
