Thanks.
I have a friend who has an 82 model with some extra, buggered seats. We looked at them and they have up to 3 inches of padding. I was going to fit this seat, take the foam out and then get some high density foam (cut to shape) and add in layers until I was comfortable. Then take my drivers seat to a trimmer, get them to match the height/ padding and trim to match the rest of the car. I think I should be able to get about 1 1/2 inches of extra room.

Default Just a heads up...

When I bought my 84, the antenna was just like yours, not retracting all the way...and every morning the battery would be dead. Repaired it (by lubing the shaft and cleaning the motor gears) and life was good. The antenna motor continually tries to pull the shaft down, to the rest position, regardless of whether or not the key is on.

So, if you have a battery issue...look at that antenna. Plus, it looks better when it's full retracted anyway...lol.

Brian.

Cheers.
The aerial will most likely be made redundant, I will retract it and disconnect or even remove it.

Very nice '83 and a right handed Euro too! Makes drive up windows kind of a problem though.

Thanks. Not an issue - Aussie car in Australia (not that I frequent drive throughs)
All our cars are the "euro" spec/ or R.O.W.

Cheers
