Default ride height

Have a 81 5spd. Removed original non-adjustable bilsteins and installed adjustable bilsteins with the original springs...now there is more than 4 inches between the tire and the fender! Any ideas how i can get the ride height about 1 inch below stock settings?

Did you go drive it to settle the suspension like has been advised several times for you?

First, drive it around so it settles. Second, lower the adjusters. Third, cut some coils off.

Been there, done that. You need a set of S4 front springs (or a pair of Weltmeister springs if you can find them).
