Default Singer 928 Coming?

Sorry for the clickbait title, but:
http://petrolicious.com/singer-vehic...estomod-empire

Two points in the article make it seem he could start doing restomods for the 928. I think it makes the most sense from the available models.

I have admired what Singer is doing since I first saw one several years ago.

"Singerize" is already considered a universal term for the ultimate iteration for anything automotive.

From the way I see it, if the philosophy he describes in the article of,

"... trying to distill that experience into something that I've never experienced before, take all the good and increase it and get rid of as much of the bad as possible..."

then the 928 is an even better platform from which to start. Just less bad thanks to the physics of the design. And the natural beauty of the design. And, and, and.

If they go down that Singer road with a 928, it wouldn't surprise me if they ended up creating a car challenging for the finest overall driving experience in history.

How's that for hyperbole!

Who wouldn't want a Singer 928 and Icon FJ40 in their garages?

If he's looking for a test bed for his 928 ideas, I'd be willing donate my 928 to the cause. He pays for parts & labor, and I lend him the car. All I ask is that I get it back with all his mods in place at the end of a year or two. What's unfair about that?

His current 911s run much more than this. So my guess it would start at $500K

So who needs Singer if you can already get a Greg Brown super-motor?

The motor is a small part of the Singer. If anything, the motor isn't particularly impressive.

I have been in discussions with them and they do have several clients interested in a 928 done by them.

I believe the Singer 911 uses a Cosworth-modified motor. If they do an official Singer 928 they should use GB strokers...now that would be cool...
