For the first time since I have owned my 928 I was able to take a picture without the front license plate ( not required in my new state ). It sure looks happier

George: I can't help it, but your car needs the GTS mirrors. With all that aerodynamic refinement you show in this picture, like the closing of panel gaps and headlight area, removed wipers, etc, you could still gain a few mph with the more aerodynamic mirrors. I once read they allow about 3 mph more top speed on the 928.
Susan will be happy to order a set for you... ;-)

That'll gain another 3mph top speed then. You will be "invincible"!!!
How are you planning to get them off and on for going to the races? Leave sockets on, and just remove the "ears"?

As long as you can live without the motors and heaters, you just cut the wires and cap them off. then you can R&R the mirrors any time you want with one screw.................

Yes, I got them from Olivier and he did quit making them. They were quite expensive ( IMHO) and not quite clear enough. However, I like them better than the original.
Also, the small plastic piece was from him also. I understand it can be bought in Europe from Porsche but not in the US. To fit correctly you have to remove the bumper and remove the small metal piece that was added in the US. Mine do not fit perfectly because I did not want to remove the bumper.

In some states. (like mine) and if your shark is old enough (like mine), you can get a "collector" plate that only goes on the back. In Mn. the real bonus is that you never have to pay registration fees ever again! ($90 and your good for life) But you have to have a 20 yr old car to do it... - Ruf
