Still in Vernon. 25,000 km's now.[/QUOTE]
For a sec there I thought it had no sunroof. (Japan import correct?)
Japanese cars can be a real mixed bag. Some are stunning ^^^ and some....
There was Porsche exclusive special wishes all leather, light wood, gold plated plaques, 1990 S4 from Japan I had the pleasure and horror to spend some time with.
Low miles it sat outside so you know where this is going. All the wood was peeling, the leather dash shrunk 3 size too small, console twisted etc. It was the most custom factory car I have ever seen. I should check my archives for photos, it was quite something.

M718 is the next model year VIN thing done for these cars. With that assembly line workers knew to put different year code VIN to body etc. It's only used on these few US model cars on early nineties like 968, 964 Turbo and 928 GTS. It was done on different times on each model in between 1992 and 1995 calendar year. Engine and gearbox numbers were same series as ROW cars build at the time. So cars are basically same as earlier model year cars on other markets including all parts, colors and available options.
I have suspicion M239 is change of tire manufacturer meaning some other make and model rubber was mounted on at production line than what was standard at the time. Bridgestone instead of Michelin for example and this wasn't customer selectable. In any case its common option without anything visible on used cars so it can't be very exiting and sought after.

1994 GTS
Hi all just joining this post as Paul J referred me to this post. I have owned several 928's over the years (S4 and GT) but now have my first GTS - white '94 auto. Gorgeous car and drive beautifully.
Who is a good person to do 928 service work at a decent price in the lower mainland area?
Where is the best place to buy 928 parts locally for a decent price?
Thanks.

For service I'd point you to Colin in Abbotsford.
Roger at 928sRus.com can provide all parts needs.

I also recommend Colin for any work on your 928. Also if you really want to use a local shop to source 928 parts, you could try Porsche Center Vancouver or Langley - but to get a good discount you need to be a PCA member and show your card. I found many parts to be comparable if not less that anywhere else with the discount.
