Default Oh Happy Day :)

Well I finally can say Oh Happy Day. Today was cold, I have been driving the 928 for about 4 days straight now, and today I decided to push things. Nice the see the WOT and 5.5K rpm shift points. I have to say today was a good day in that I finally have things kind of dialed in enough to really enjoy the car.

I got the 928 off a local craig’s list. Just a wild hair one day. I was finishing up my 71 911 restoration and looking for my next project. The car was $3500 and barely ran. That was 5 years ago. My friend dubbed the car “Swamp Thing.” It was obviously left outside and needed some TLC. I did A LOT to this car. I was attracted to the ad because the seller said it was heading for parts, but he wanted to try to save the car. I did A LOT to this car, and I have to honestly say a huge thank you to Alan, Mr Merlin, Duckman82, Speedtoys, CaptnSlow, linderpart, worf928, Dwayne and all the others who have help me. The info on this board and the willingness to help has been awesome. I know that sometimes I asked some pretty stupid questions.

When I look back on what I have accomplished to get to the point where I could get the car to perform like it did today, I am astonished at how far things have progressed. So Oh Happy Day and forgive me for tooting my own horn… Now will have to change my bursting bubble to something more appropriate. Just have to get a pic of the tach at 5.5K rpms.

Well done! Now you can change your signature away from "never done". You got yourself a regular supercar.

Wait until you hear a 928 screaming at 6.5K. It is amazing. I only did it once, but when I changed gears the thing just launched.

It's great to hear that you saved a car from becoming a parts donor (I did the same with mine ). Keep up the good work

We are a voyeuristic bunch.

What a wonderful way to start a new year!
