Headers, s4 dual cats, flowmaster, 8mm spark plug wires, Devek radiator, crankcase breather, late model adjustable spring perches, BBS wheels...

I can't count the euro heads, intake, or cams, since they came with the car!

The rest of the mods are cosmetic or audio, not performance related...

Easier question would be "what is stock?" The previous owner Chris Novak invested a lot of time/money in this car to which I've only added a few things.

Devek L2 Headers
3.5" single exhaust w/ two Borla XR-1s
Hyperco springs 800/550 lb f/r w/ GT Cup spec Bilsteins
Mille Miglia 18" Cup 2 w/ Pirelli PZero Corsas
Devek adjustable front antiroll bar
Devek strut brace
LSD installed
Big Red 993TT calipers/rotors front & rear
Recaro SPG & Pole Position seats
Moderately gutted
No A/C or radio/speakers
Devek rollbar
Devek Accusump kit
Devek radiator
Custom aluminum front splitter

Engine is stock. For now.

That sounds interesting, how is the kit configured and is all included?

Well, I spent a lot of time looking at the kits available and asking questions. I also talked to Tim and two other suppliers. I concluded that Tim put a significant amount of research into the smallest details of his project and that made it right for me. I have read the installation manual and the amount of detailed information contained, (plus color pictures) is consistent with my previous perceptions. Tim's kit cost more than some of the others, but as best I can tell, seems more complete. based on the bill of material I got from the other vendors. Tim promises a kit that is complete right down to the tie wraps. I have spoken to him a number of times and like what I hear.

There was some final bits that he needs to collect for an "89 GT specific" solution. Tim is threatening to ship the kit in the next week or so. I will have a better assessment of how complete it is then.

As to configuration, my solution is designed to make 8 lbs, and is intercooled with a water cooled heat exchanger. 8 lbs is all I want. The 89 GT has 10:1 compression and "Gretch" is for the most part a garage queen that gets out to play a few times a year. I am doing the SC project for "show" as much as "go".

Hope that helps

Gretch, I might be interested in doing the same thing to my GT in a bout a year or so when I've saved up some money for it. Let me know how it works out.

If you don't mind me asking I was wondering what kind of budget in parts and man hours that could be expected. I guess you'll know that within a couple of months or so.

It seems the parts can be had for between $5,500 and $8,000. This is the range of "kit" prices I have seen. I would guess that if you knew what you were doing, you could assemble the needed stuff for less. I am a good wrench and can follow directions reasonably well but am a bit thin on engineering theory, so I am paying a premium for the design work.

Based on some info I have gathered about the install I am doing, I plan on about 50 hours of wrenching time, so long as I don't take any detours while I am at it. I am going to do the install over the winter months. Gretch gets put away for the winter, the last week of November. This year the resting place is a heated workshop.

We get a lot of snow in the white mountains, this project will keep me from going crazy......

For further research I suggest you look at all the super charger threads here. Be warned, they involve a lot of petty chest thumping, but there is a wealth of information to be gleaned from the compendium, as well as pointers to great reference works. A lot of design work has gone into the various HP solutions available and the authors are justly proud of their work.

Gretch your GT actually has slightly more compression due to a smaller dish on the pistons than was used for the 87-89 S-4 .... In 1990 all 32 valve engines had the slightly higher compression pistons . As Porsche states this guarantees a ratio of "at least 10-1" . The earlier S-4 is somewhat less

You might just want to have another project waiting to try and help keep you from going crazy over the winter. I don't think it's going to take you as long as you think it will to install the kit. I hope you're not going to have it sitting there all finished and have to wait until spring to drive it.
