Carpet Kit and Dash Repair Complete
After some serious sweat equity and exchange of funds with Mr. Rob Budd, my new carpet kit is installed! I had previously done a treatment and dye job on all the leather parts. Then the carpet looked really shabby. Now everything is looking just fabulous!!

Very impressive results! I know that your statement about 'sweat equity' doesn't come close to the true effort needed to make things look this nice.
Just as your leather rework made the carpets look shabby.... The Good News is that replacing the tired-looking mats is a lot easier than any of the other work you've done already.
And possibly related: I'm looking at a product 303 Fabric Protector, a waterproofing and stain-repelling spray. It's the only product recommended by Sunbrella (marine fabric often used for rear luggage covers) to protect and restore the water resistance to their fabrics. Doesn't change the color or finish quality per their literature. I'm getting some to treat a few pieces of outdoor clothing to restore the water repellant properties. My carpets are ready for some gentle cleaning, and they might benefit from a little stain and water repellant treatment. I'm not a fan of Scotchguard on the Sliverknit carpet since it tends to ruin the soft fuzz texture. I'll end up doing a small test patch with the 303 in an innocuous place before I get serious.

On the carpet, what type material did you go with? what type backing did you go with? Do you have a pick of all the carpet pieces in the kit as I am wondering if it includes carpet for the sides of the counsel, or carpet for the rear tool tray panel? Also what color did you go with, all my buddy's refer to mine as having "Peanut-Budder Guts" I always called it budder-scotch.
