I've been trying to sell my 928, seems prices have tanked. I realize its winter but I thought mine would be a quick sell but probably too many miles (65K) and it has a burgundy interior. I've been gnashing my teeth as of late.

Actually prices have gone up over the last couple years but are still low compared to some other Porsche models or original purchase price for all but the" time capsule" extremely low mileage cars.

As described that looks like a reasonable asking price to me. I'd bite, if I were in the market.
WSM alone are worth >$500; I've seen asks as high as $1k.
BTW, no link in your post, but still could find it.

For starters, ditch the wheels. If you are serious about selling and have zero interest in keeping the car, go back to stock. I love Fikse wheels but dislike that style, so personally if I were in the market for your car I'd be knowingly paying a high premium for wheels I don't like and then have to sell.
Yes the interior color is a huge turnoff in the market. I'm baffled by the love of "all black" interiors (Honda Civics have all black interiors) and I wish my 87 were burgundy or blue.
So, in closing......subtract whatever you feel those wheels are worth, knock a few points off for the color and your car is sold. Interiors are very polarizing, my father spent three years trying to sell his 355GTS since nobody wants a Ferrari with black / tan. Had it been black on black or red on black, it would have sold for more money the day after he listed it. One of the primary reasons I purchased my 78 and 87 was due to the two tone interiors, but I'm the odd man out in these discussions.
Selling sports cars after Labor Day just adds to the frustration.

Forget about the low priced 928 market...just read an instagram post by Magnus Walker: that he is looking for an early '78-'79 with 5 speed, in an unusual factory color. Like his style or not...he's contributed to our Zuffenhausen Marque in ways that have driven up the early 911 values. Currently has added a custom 924 gts , just bought 2 914s for hot rodding and is in the hunt for the 928. That's Excellent !
