If you are really in the mood to spend some hard earned cash, you could go with 18x9.5 in front and fit 265/35-18's and 18x11 in back with 285/30-18's. On my car I have 17x9 and 17x10 wheels. Keep in mind that to fit such large tires in the front of a 928 requires an offset of about 65mm, not a common thing. It will require custom built wheels.

On a tighter budget, I think you could fit 8.5-9" and 10" in back from another P-car, or aftermarket, using the more common 52-55mm front offset. You would still be able to fit big back tires but would be limited to a 225 width front due to fender interference.

Brent,
i have right now 17x8.5 front and 17x10 rear. I was going to go with a 17x9.5 and 17x11 and for price lets say i got the hook up. A buddy of mine races Porsches for a living (Team Hazardous) I pay his prices about 75-80% off. Lucky me!

I would be pretty tempted to go to 18". The selection of tires is a little better IMO and the current trend is to bigger and bigger rim sizes. 75% OFF where do I sign up for that program?

Check with the Tire Rack http://www.tirerack.com/ They should be able to take care of you.

Actually, I'm not so sure the Tire rack would be any help with this. I would be willing to bet that they are unable to supply a wheel in the proper offset for the front. What they will tell you, and try to sell you, is a wheel with a 911 offset, ie 55mm in front. This is NOT the correct wheel for a 928. They may be able to order custom built wheels but if he can get 75% off from a buddy, is the Tire Rack going to match that?

Brent is absolutely right, stay away from Tire Rack unless you don't mind running a generic fitting wheel.

Remember, just because it may 'fit' doesn't mean it fits 'right'.

Cool

Try WheelEnhancement.com, they really know P-Cars
A friend of mine has an '83, with the 18" Mille Miglia twists, and using 19mm spacers in the rear, he has 315's. Looks awsome

The 18 inch RH Alurad Cup rear rims on my 1985 needed to have the fenders flared to fit the extra width. I believe they are 9.5 or 10 inches wide. Keep this in mind.

Redthunder......The 1985 is different then the earlier 928's. The '85 has a factory spacer. I know this because I sold some chrome flats with 255's (rears) off my '82, to a guy with an '85, and they didn't fit his That is why it is best to check with an expert first
