Hi, are you saying a drive-able tyre mounted on the space saver spare rim will fit in the stock boot space provided?
I do not see how that can be, as it's a chore just to get the "collapsed" space saver in there.

Pulling a vacuum on the "collapsible" spare helps with insertion.
I can't imagine any usable non-collapsible wheel/tire fitting that hole, either.

I carry the spare, and air compressor too. Lug wrench, gloves, and a can of flat fixer. LOL

I would only carry the spare and original air pump is it was for a show, would never try to use it.
I carry a Green Slime kit that comes with its own air pump for emergencies on the side of the road.

I carry the spare, air compressor and plug kit. Have some major tire damage and you won't be going anywhere without a spare. I test inflated mine and it seemed fine. Odds are good it would get me home or to a tire place and I've read enough posts where 928 owners have done exactly that. Spare tire subwoofer fits in it nicely too.
Bugs the hell out of me that my Cayenne didn't come with spare...nothing but some Porsche brand Fix-a-Flat and a large factory subwoofer in the well.

Who from the 928 group tied their flat tire to the outside of the hatch? I remember that story from 15+ years ago. IIRC it didn't end well for the hatch glass.

I carry a spare. I guess from being a mechanic for thirty-some years...and seeing tires that couldn't be repaired...it just makes sense. Plus, the flat would fit in the hatch area, or if the hatch had to be left open slightly to accommodate. Plus, I don't have a cell phone and travel some pretty rural areas...so you have to be somewhat self-sufficient.

My spare looked to be un-cracked, and in good shape, but I would be leery to use it after so many years. I keep total of 4 big road reflector triangles in the pockets of my hatch cover along with several flares. Also have an orange rotating truck trailer light that I fixed a pigtail connector on to plug into my trickle pigtail to battery so as to have good warning if roadside in the dark with a flat. I do keep the Slime puncture sealant and new small compressor in the auxiliary tool/travel bag if the puncture is small, and I can move on to a safer place. Would rather wait for AAA with safety warnings to keep me and the car visible, and flat bed out of trouble. I have tested the little jack in the comfort of my nice flat garage, but would also be concerned about using it on the side of the road in the dark.

I can't imagine there are wheel and tire assemblies that won't fit in the cargo area. You could always tie the hatch down if you can't close it all the way. Waiting around for a flatbed that might never come to take me to a shop that might not have a tire that'll fit sounds boring, I'll put my collapsible spare on the car and be on my way in under 15 minutes, thanks.
I keep a plug kit and compressor in all my cars also, more often than not I do not even have to dismount the wheel to fix it. I've even plugged rental car tires to avoid the hassle of whatever the rental agency would do if I called them with a flat.
