Default Will Porsche Purists Soon Go Nuts for This 928 GTS?

Judging from the pictures, this Porsche 928 GTS looks to be in sound condition.

Me thinks the author hasn't a clue as to how much the GTS's have been trading hands in the past few years.

This may not end well....

The problem: these aren’t the right Porsches to be investing in. Sure, they’re cool, and have an interesting engine in the front of the car. But they’re not air-cooled, the stuff everyone seems to be picking up right now. If the seller gets what they want, more power to them. But $45,000 for a mid-90s 928 GTS? Sorry, pass.

Dear Mr, Editor...... you may want to do some more research. Start here:

What are these posts? Johnathon, with all due respect, stick to puff pieces about 991 lift systems. Copy/pasting press releases seems to be a little more your speed.

I thought the hot topic in the 991 forum this week is which Rolex best matches the fuel filler cap.

AdPock obviously has no clue what 5 speed 928's are going for. Let alone a GTS.

I hope his posts about air-cooled cars are more well researched / thought out.

Articles about which air cooled oil works best in your 911 or lawn mower never gets old.

"...Heck, that’s verging on 997 money, without the performance."

With that logic, what drives a $140k price for a '72 911T? Or pick a classic with performance below late model sports cars. That point is too easily dismissed with multitudes of examples.

News flash: If performance = price, a Miura would be less than a Golf GTi.

Look at the bright side: Those of you looking to buy a GTS won't have to compete with the author's audience.

Have no fear, the big car collector crash of 1991 (or so) will repeat itself by then.
