Here are a few shots of mine, Moche Braun according to the door jam. The first shots are from after my first off roading adventure with the 928.

On this site from the Labor Day PCA race is a brown 928, belongs to GlenL.

Why the interest in brown 928's?

Take a look at this site for lots of information on 928 colors and plenty of
pictures.......

Some may not agree, but I think that:
Expresso Brown Met.
Cognac Brown Met.
and even Nougat Brown
are some of the best colors on 928's. Most cars don't look good in
brown, but the 928 browns are awesome to me.

This is close to the original Tabac Metalic if what I found under the previous re-spray is right.

Whoops, I'm drooling on my keyboard.
Sorry up front if I put that idea in anyone's head.

See if this link works, my 1980 mocca braun 928. I also have a 1979 in the same color, no pics up yet. Side by side the difference is stunning....10,000 miles and very little sun and weather on the 1980 vs 107,000 miles with Tahoe winters and central valley heat to fade the paint on the 1979.

Here's a link to my expresso brown:
Expresso brown shark
I haven't seen another one yet and that color is one of the reasons I bought that particular shark. That was the featured color in the 1988 928 catalog.

Hacker-Pschorr- Does the following pic look like "Mocha Brown"?
I bought my car from a true butteater. It was originally black, and after the rear clip was scuffed in traffic, and he was told by the body shop that they probably couldn't match plain black paint......he decided to do a cheap respray in a color that he said was an original Porsche color. He couldn't remember the name of the color. I've been wondering ever since-
Well, when you open the doors, the black paint stares at you. And the same occurs whenever I check the oil-
Dammit! I hope someone uses a belt sander on his shins- then rubs rock salt and Tobasco sauce into the wounds!

Randy,
It was reffered to as "The Brown Money Pit".
He has "not" left the building.
Haven't seen you or your girlfriend racing around the streets of La Costa and Carlsbad lately....
I don't drive 'Ol "79 928" too much any more, but still roll it out on the weekends up in Dana Point... Still sounds as mean as ever!!!
Take Care!
