Aftermarket LSD?

got it... no worries. the car you have is good. the tires are minor effects, as far as staggard or not. I have HUGE race rubber on the back and had little front comparitively, but only when racing did i see an issue... now, im 4 square, but the rear are staggared way out.
anyway, the miss shift would hurt anyone, more so with the LSD, but there is good and bad with that. the step out, if you are turing when it happens will happen more dramatically if you have LSD, but the correction will be more positive too. trade offs, alll better for the LSD, but the open diff is fine for not racing it. again, i raced it for 5 years with no LSD, when i got it, it was a nice adder and i think all the years without it made me a better driver.

the 928 is stock so undertired, it will always understeer when pushed. even my car understeers unless my front tires are almost new and not going away in a race. the front has more weight and the tires are too small.. you dont want to go smaller in the rear with tires to fix it, then you just get a car that is loose and slides too.

again, the LSD is a nice to have for the street, but not a big deal for any kind of spirited street driving, even in the rain. however snow, different story as is auto-crossing. (lots of tight turns, and WOT exits for lots of one wheel spin)

I'd say it is a big deal in the rain though. I've driven limited slip cars in the rain, and it's a little scary, but you can definitely get the power down much better than my 928. With the open diff, I have to accelerate painfully slowly to keep that inside rear from spinning. That's the main thing I would want LSD for. Love driving in the rain.

actually, its less scary , if you compare back to back. again, the LSD can get you in more trouble more quickly, as the one legger (no LSD) will have one wheel without spin, and that can temper a situation. you can get one wheel spin, but its not enough to upset the car in the rain, usually. in otherwords, you get easier wheel spin with no LSD, but it doesnt upset the car as much as with LSD where both wheels will spin, but take a little more throttle to get that spin.... trade offs.
