Default Fitting MM's problem

I'm fitting Rogers/Volvo MM's and can't seem fit the stop plates between the bottom of the mount and the cross member, the mount is to tall, do you leave them off? #4 in the parts list diagram.
Thanks.

On the Volvo mounts I've been eliminating the lower Porsche bracket and using the ones supplied by Volvo. Found them to eliminate all vibrations and if Volvo thinks they will hold the mounts in an accident then that good for me. What's Volvo know for? Safety.

I thought roger was suggesting to do so.

For the OP try using a rubber band to hold the plate in place,
look for my thread on fitting the new mounts.

Sean How about a picture please

What would you like a picture of? The band that comes on the mounts?

This is what I ended up doing with mine FWIW. No issues afterwards.
I'm comforted that a pro like Sean did it the same way, because I was kind of improvising at the time.
