GT cams ... standard GT cams ... almost impossible to get without lobe pitting. 110 degree LSA.

Modified S3 ... Standard S3 modified to fit S4/GTS, and there were a limited number of sets modified and then ground to Elgin profile with greater lift and duration than GT. Unlikely to find any of these, and unlikely to find anyone willing to modify/grind more ... but you never know. 114 degree LSA

Colin Jensan (Lizard) has cams available and, I understand, can grind a set to suit. I think all his grinds are 114 degree LSA.

Andy,

I hate to see nice people perplexed. Clearly there is only one solution to your dilemma and that is to fix your original GTS motor and give your stroker motor to me- it is so obvious I am surprised we did not think of this earlier!

On the more serious side of life you just need to think things out a bit- you have something quite unique that will last you a long time if not forever so why waste energy thinking about it?

If you are thinking of maximising your returns when you decide you have had enough of the 928, as others have said, originality is a good way to go and flog the stroker motor separately but otherwise stick with what you have and enjoy!

Ditto that on the vacuum system! Mine runs very well with no complaints on oil consumption. Much quicker too now with the Sharketune.

Hey Roger
Could you make a thread about what you did to your GTS and the results with all the details? I'm thinking about moving mine along and want to consider options first.

I guess I should just leave it in the crate .....as I have no plans to take the stroker out of the gts cause it is the what should have been next evolution of the 928 !!

guess I should have thougth this out before starting a thread.....but thanks all for the advice....

when the time comes I will probably do the minimum (drill, vacuum) to keep it a good running engine !!!

Fred , this was my original intent , I just have some down time and thought I would put effort into getting the original engine back in shape and the setting it to the side waiting to go back in to that glorious gts....

thanks
