The 360 has a strong connection to the road and transfers that feeling to the driver. This car was designed with a lot of downforce similiar to F1 cars, on the *** to keep it glued to the road. The sound is also awesome (but not as nice as an F355 screaming through the gears). 4th gear is a killer on the street. The 360 is about 800# lighter and has 70 hp more than a GTS so itis more agile. Both are cam belt driven so belt maintenance should be similar. The 360 does not require an engine out belt change. So far I am capable of performing my own routine maintenance. No wrenching required for repairs so far. They are fairly reliable.

I think the 360 is more in the 911 class than the 928 GT class. So I'd compare that more to a GT3, or turbo 911. I think the better comparison for the 928 would be to a 575M or 550M, and I would love to know what the real differences are, especially if comparing models that were more contemporary with each other.

+1.

I find the 360 communicates like no other car that I've driven. With the aluminum chassis and the mid-engine layout it just pivots in the turns effortlessly. There's transaxle that's great on the highway but my 79 waddles in the tight turns. The 360 is just quite frankly epic on the road at 5-7k RPM singing behind you. The only "rub" with the car is the rear axle doesn't accommodate as much as the 911 or Boxster pseudo a-arms do. So it's less forgiving when you're in the turn near the limit. It's still the most amazing car I've had the privilege to own. It's the way the chassis talks to you and the flat plane crank vibrates that really makes you "feel" what the car is doing. I have the optional sport racing seats in mine so you really feel what she's thinking.

So far uber reliable here as well. Most things are a piece of cake after a 928 clutch master cylinder replacement and bleed. Just a thing beauty.

As above, much more 911 than 928. And that's 997 911. 991 is a bit GT. You honestly can't compare the 928 to the 360 apples and oranges.

saw the gts in question a few weeks ago, when i went in to pick up some caliper bolts.

crazy how it compares in size to the 991s on the floor, and it looks positively miniature compared to the panamera.

also, i guess there's a 5k internet discount.

(pardon the crappy phone pics)

Actually very similar in size and 928 GTS is heavier.

1994 928 GTS L: 178" W: 74" H: 51" weight: 3,570 lbs
2014 Carrera S L: 176.8 W: 71.2 H: 51.3 weight: 3,040 lbs

For that much money I'd buy the F Maranello 550 or 575 V12 monsters. Both are GTs with all the creature comforts.

I actually know someone who bought a black on black 599 with HGTE for $5 more than that asking price!
