I've pulled my oil pan and I have a new cork gasket. Any thoughts on whether to use a gasket sealant during reassembly? Also the rubber boot on the sensor on the front of the pan was hard as a rock and cracked during disassembly. Does anyone sell a replacement or could I use shrink tubing?

Throw the boot away....the boot traps moisture.

Greg? No Yamabond? I thought that was 'the ticket' to keep the cork gasket dry forever?
