Eric,
Thanks for making contact again and coming up to Harbor Springs. I'm hoping to get down to see the Shark Tank soon. Sounds like a fun place with lots going on.
My garage is a bit quieter but progressing nicely as you saw. Started with a blank space but had put the lift on the wrong side when I was using a smaller trailer.
First thing was moving/removing big shelves and priming and painting the walls.
22 gallons of paint later.

Next was cleaning and polishing the floor (after vacuuming 20+ years of spiderwebs and washing the walls).
Then moved the lift and started re-organizing tools and parts racks. Got a small beer fridge and started to create an entertainment area. Learned quickly when Eric, Jim, Lindsay, Steve, Julie, Cathy and I celebrated a bit that I need a bigger beer fridge!

And just in case I think I'm putting together something really cool, I can also go over to my friends garage and eat a little humble pie...
I've had tons of fun and memorable experiences in dirt floored ship-holes as well as taj-ma-garages.
The garage does not make the experience - the people and cars do!

Very Cool thread. I really enjoyed flipping through it.
I have an idea for your garages that you might like. We make these large 9-2-8 letters in laser-cut brushed aluminum and they look fantastic. They mount anywhere with adhesive pads (included).
Here is the webpage if you are interested: https://928motorsports.com/parts/928_wall_art.php

You guys have some AMAZING garages!
I am currently negotiating to try and buy this.
5 acres, new house and workshop, 5 minutes from the gun club.
First step is to convince the wife.
Second step is to convince myself that living under 132kV power lines is not a health risk.
You can see them if you squint hard enough at the picture - about a third in from the left running top to bottom.
Don't care about the house (new built, 4 bed, 2 bath), but that workshop is 24m x 12m (near enough to 80' x 40'), and high enough for a full height lift.

Awesome site! The house is going to have to appeal to your wife to make it work!
Make sure the kitchen and master are to her taste or be willing to re-model to suit her. You have to have the wife's support so once you rule out the power lines, go for it!
