I think the first "production" car with Speed Yellow was the 964 Turbo S Leichtbau, a 1992 model year car.
But a Lemon Yellow (L10W) was available for the 928 in 1987/1988.
It seems that three kinds of yellows were used on the 928.
Talbot Yellow (1978-1980)
Lemon Yellow (1987-1988)
Speed Yellow (1994-1995)

That said, for 968s, they definitely produced 2 1993 968s in X4/L12G Speed Yellow. They did go to Canada.

I was wrong, the prototype was a 1992 model-year (N-program) but the production cars were 1993 (P-program).
Anyway, the standard color for this model was Speed Yellow.
