Yup. But that was a couple of months ago I think. Now that the owner has had it for a while longer with no buyer, and it 'needs to go - make and offer', I have to believe that they wish they had accepted your $6500.

Of course, I am just speculating.

Between the aggressive tone and odd defensiveness all the help didn't seem to help selling this car. Of course labeling it as a "teenagers car" does seem to be the best way to sell any car IMHO.

I'll buy it for$6500 if they ever reveal crank shaft end play numbers, deliver it, and apologize for not being honest on the sellers part and being a total douche bag on the helpers part.

We need to know how you really feel. Don't be afraid to express your inner self, and get in touch with your true id.

I too would need the crank end play measurement before heading out with some cash. If it's been done, it's been done. If it hasn't been done, it needs to be done. If it's been done, and they don't want to say.....

"I have moved and have no where to park this car. It needs to go. Make an offer"

If this were local and I had a place to park it, I would be on my way over with $5,500 in hundred dollar bills. An envelope of green goes a long way to close a deal.

Is it "worth" more? Probably, but as presented.......lowest bidder takes the prize.

Damn... I'll be in NC in a month or two, and would rather drive a 928 than a rental for a month. But then what can I do wth it? K has a rule about Bob bringing home random strays... Maybe drop it off in Foat Wuth on the way home?

The underhood shot is typical of a 27-year old 928 that hasn't been restored.

No information about the mechanicals because none of the interested buyers were serious enough to get (pay for one) a PPI & despite my insistence, the seller didn't want to spend more money.

RennList buyers -being what they are- will either scream 'MODIFIED!' if the top end refresh had been done... or scream 'FIX IT FIRST!' if it hasn't.

It was in the stack of receipts you chose to ignore, to concentrate instead on the 'deception' you have tried to claim. An over-eager seller chose wrong terminology in his proud description of his car -just as most of us would do. In that stack of receipts you also missed the installation of the PKlamp (with measurement).

Mate? What, are you from England or Australia?!?

By the way Mr. Young -you were cautioned about defamatory comments about me, were you not?

Yep, when the car was purchased, she was a teenager -now she is 26.

The seller is threatening to sue if I don't remove the negative feedback.
I invite both suits as I will leave the courtroom with a smile after being awarded attorneys fees.

Calling me a liar while attempting to conduct the sale of property IS tantamount to defamation of character and interference with commerce that said individual has no personal interest in -which you should know 'damn well' also.

Protection of my integrity happens to be MY pet peeve. Thanks for chiming in.

You're very, very wrong about that. Everything he stated was clearly a matter of opinion, and as such, is protected speech and NOT defamation. I will cheerfully make side bets if you take that to court, I could use some extra money.

This has been highly entertaining and I hope educational for anyone thinking about buying or selling a 928 (or any car).

This thread has officially jumped the shark......shutting it down before it gets even more out of hand.
