Tread lightly here Michael... so now you're calling me a liar? You have just crossed the line.

My integrity is beyond reproach here sir... I even pointed out flaws in this car that you didn't see -all in the way of full disclosure.

Serving this country to protect our freedoms like Freedom of Speech (and the rest) for all citizens (and those that obviously take it for granted) and to give a voice for those that don't have one, will be an honor I will hold for the rest of my life.

Thus is partially the reason for my involvement with this car.

However, Freedom of Speech does not include libel or slander.

I will be happy to have my attorney contact you to explain this.

Feel free to leave your contact information...

I'll bet your lady friend in your avatar would like it!

Actually, having brown & pink sitting in the garage together would make for a nice contrast (popular one too in the fashion industry)!

Not sure if it can really be called 'pink' though... wine? lipstick? mauve?

Popular or not, the rare colors are always valued higher in the collector car market... when that market catches up with the 928, this one will be too.

Demonstrate your wisdom: Walk Away. Take the sniping to PM or e-mail, or let your attorneys fight it out in private. This thread is about a car for sale. Not about stubbed toes or hurt feelings.

To be fair, it is not just "a car for sale thread" by the OP who has made many, many cross references and even cross quoted from the other thread. As a disinterested party, I do not feel that slider is the aggressor here. For the bookkeeping sake, I suspect that perhaps white lightnin has a financial stake in this sale rather than just a "representative."

Careful Doc, you'll just end up with the same 100k debate all over again!

I should, but I'm supposed to have the Venitian blue out before getting another one. We're also shopping for a replacement truck, and those things cost money. I gave my old truck to my kid, and now we are truckless - which is a felony in TX after 90 days.

I heard Roger has a pick em up truck that needs an engine and you could fit a 5.0 litre 928 engine under the hood....
Doc that car ^^^^ is a deal, its head turner and if you like the color OOrah!

They are asking $8k, but says it needs to go - make an offer.

Maybe it could be had for 5 or 6 grand. It'll be a good number of hours and $ to sort her out, though.

Well, he wouldn't sell it to me for $6500 but was willing to sell at $7000.
There has never been any info given about crank movement even though we were assured it was in the cars records.
Act fast though because White Lightnin is helping him market this car and the price is going over $10k any time now.

Well, if I made a move for this car, I'd have to put a porta potty and an air mattress in it for a while, cuz I'd be living in it until maybe Nov. I wish my Matra was running, but it's got a dead clutch and leaking head gasket. If it was running I could get the cassisrot, but alas, too much work on too many things right now.

I missed a nice one out in CA a year ago and this one is about the same. They come up once in a while. I'm not a fan of the white tint int either. I really wanted the burgundy but I can live with white I guess. I think Rog has some burgundy int bits, or maybe he sold it off a while back. Either way, not a good idea to swap from what was ordered.

That under hood is less than impressive. Why all the shots of the exterior bits and nothing about mechanicals?
